September

Here we are almost at the next meeting of Stitching Hearts, and I am at last posting about the previous meeting.  Still, late is better than never, or so I tell myself.  Currently having the house painted, and the place is in chaos.  Thankfully only the exterior, but nevertheless, the mess is incredible.

We made two deliveries since the last report.  Grace's Place is doing the most amazing work with support for children who are affected by homicide.  So sad that there is actually a need for that.  Click here to read more about this work.

There was also a delivery of quilts and other items to We Care Connect.   Both organisations are such worthy causes.

We were invited to a Morning Tea of Volunteers put on by Meals on Wheels.  Three of our members attended that, and were each presented with flowers.

We discussed the arrangements for our Christmas party.  Can't believe we are at this time of the year already!  Anyway, our party will be on the 21st November, and that will also be our last day for this year.  So only 3 more meetings!

These were a donation from Toni.  The quilts were quilted by our members:

Next up is a little quilt donated by Cheryl from Friday Quilters.

And this is a donation from Wattle Grove Quilters.  Some lovely intricate work in that.

That's it for today.  See you soon,

21st March

We received an appreciative email from the Dandelion Support Network who also acknowledged our donation on their website. They would love to receive some quilts for teenagers.

Our co-ordinator has contacted several schools in the local area.  Three of these would love a raffle quilt.  We also a raffle quilt to Concord Palliative Care Unit to be used as a fund raiser.

Chiswick Manor published an article of appreciation for quilts given to recipients in their newsletter, as well as sending us a lovely Thank You card, with a Spotlight voucher enclosed.

The Monday Group have donated this adorable "doggy" quilt.  Aren't those little puppy faces just too cute?

Wattle Grove Quilters have also sent in a quilt for us:

And here is a quilt from Sue, of Friday Quilters:

There were a lot of I spy quilts brought in this time.  Always a favourite with our children's charities.

Last but not least, a beautifully crocheted shawl.

Enjoy the Easter break - don't eat too much chocolate!

Mid August

Sadly folks, I have managed to corrupt 5 photos and they are not retrievable.  I have tried several different ways to recover the mess, but unfortunately have not been able to do that.  So this week's post is 5 quilts short.

Moving on, we had a full house for our last meeting.  It was a bit squashy at the table for lunch, but it was really good to see everyone.

We made a delivery to Concord Palliative Care - always hugely appreciated.

We have prepared a parcel of knitted goods for both St Mary's Villa and for the Wayside Chapel.

Quite a few donated items have been received - some completed, some needed quilting by our members.

First up were 2 from the Wattlegrove Quilters.  The gorgeous appliqued quilted made by this group is one of the photos which were corrupted.  Here is the other, made by Susan,

Elizabeth VDH made the next three quilts.

Raelene, our friend from Friday Quilters sent us these three quilts:

A neighbour of one of our members has donated 7 little knitted cardigans.  These will definitely be useful to keep someone warm.

There were also a number of beanies, and scarves brought in, but that photo is another of the corrupted ones :(

Just take a look at Mr Fox.  Isn't he divine?  One of our members has found a book with lots of animals in it, so she is promising us a few more of these.

Here are the rest of the quilts:

Bye for now, and thanks for stopping by to support us.
