20 August

There were a number of deliveries of quilts made since the last meeting.  One bundle was taken to Chiswick Manor Care Community.  We received a call thanking us from one of the recipients.

Another bundle went to Concord Palliative Care Unit, which was gratefully received.

When we made a delivery to Meals on Wheels, they issued us with an invitation to their morning tea next Wednesday.

We have also received a Thank You note from the Rev. Bill Cruze Foundation for our donation of woolen items. This foundation provides a comprehensive support hub where people can access nutritious meals, health and dental care, and crisis support.

Despite a few members away, we had a big pile of quilts brought in to this meeting, 27 of them actually.  Here they are:

And as usual, a table full of woollen items:

That's it for today.  Enjoy the Spring sunshine, and see you next time.

The Missing Post

With all the things happening around here lately, the post from 16 July fell through the cracks.  No worries, here it is. Enjoy.

Lots of knits today too.

6th August

Our meeting last week was well attended, and judging by the number of quilts and woollen goodies brought in, our members were busy!

We have been advised that the Canterbury Leagues club have agreed to give us a grant.  Thank you!  It will be well used.

Drummoyne Public School fund raising auction went live online this week and the items to be auctioned include the 2 children’s quilts donated from us.  More on that as it unfolds.

Deliveries made to We Care Connect.  As usual, the quilts they received were eagerly accepted.

We also discussed the possibility of donating some of the woollen items we make to Youth Off the Streets.  We will need to arrange delivery of the items.

First in the quilt parade are the quilts donated by our followers. The first 3 quilts were made by Robyn:

And this one was donated by Sandra.

The rest were made by our members:

And loads of beanies and scarves, together with a bunch of bags.

That's it for now.  See you next time.
