21st March

We received an appreciative email from the Dandelion Support Network who also acknowledged our donation on their website. They would love to receive some quilts for teenagers.

Our co-ordinator has contacted several schools in the local area.  Three of these would love a raffle quilt.  We also a raffle quilt to Concord Palliative Care Unit to be used as a fund raiser.

Chiswick Manor published an article of appreciation for quilts given to recipients in their newsletter, as well as sending us a lovely Thank You card, with a Spotlight voucher enclosed.

The Monday Group have donated this adorable "doggy" quilt.  Aren't those little puppy faces just too cute?

Wattle Grove Quilters have also sent in a quilt for us:

And here is a quilt from Sue, of Friday Quilters:

There were a lot of I spy quilts brought in this time.  Always a favourite with our children's charities.

Last but not least, a beautifully crocheted shawl.

Enjoy the Easter break - don't eat too much chocolate!

7th March

Our first March meeting was another astounding effort from our group.  There were 50 completed quilts brought in, and that is not counting the heap of tops which need quilting!  That is only 1 quilt short of our first meeting for the year.

This huge tally was helped by a big donation from a group headed by Robyn and Mary, who meet at Hobbysew on a Monday.  And here they are:

Glenys is part of the Hobbysew Group.  She made these next two quilts.

Lyn from Friday Quilters made this little child's quilt.

In the quilt above, the centre of each block has a lovely machine embroidered motif - all different.  This is a close up of one of these blocks.

And that is it for today.  Thank you for taking the time to join us in this journey.
