1st October

Well here we are again with another bunch of great photos.  It's always so inspiring when I make a trip to Sydney to Stitching Hearts, hope it inspires you too.

We have been approached for donations by two different organisations.  Open Support provides services to women and children escaping domestic and family violence, and people experiencing social isolation and loneliness.  They are based in Darlinghurst, and you can read more here.  We selected a raffle quilt for them.

We were also contacted by the NSW Health Child Protection Counselling Service for some quilts for kids.  Read more about this service here.  After a discussion at our meeting we agreed to make a donation and will contact them for collection.

A delivery was made to the Concord Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

The first quilt was a sweet little child's quilt donated by Cheryl at Hobby Sew:

And there were lots of warm woollens too - scarves and beanies.

Thanks for visiting and see you next time.

  1. Always so much fun to view your posts. Again, this was a lovely parade of quilts. Bravo to everyone involved in the making of these beauties. Of course, I found inspiration. This time the quilts before and after the castle one were noted. A simple pattern that can use up a lot of scraps. You just might see this pattern on my blog next year. Love the woolies too. Some of those scrafs look like cribbage board. Too cute. Well done. ;^)
