18th February

Lovely, happy meeting held last week, with a lot to report.

We agreed to donate a quilt to Domestic Violence NSW to be raffled at a special dinner to be held shortly.  We have also had an email from Domestic Violence NSW thanking us for our support and advising that our quilts are included in the Happy Home Project around the state.

We donated a number of quilts to Greenwich Hospital Palliative Care Unit for the first time last week.  They were really well received, and the thank you letter received stated that they "have added warmth to rooms and given dignity and care to Patients".  It is truly lovely to have feedback like that from the recipients of our quilts.

The highlight or our day though was a visit to our group by our founding member Darleen, for afternoon tea.  She spoke of the earliest days of the group, which started in 2004, and commented that several members were still coming to meetings.  We donated 5 quilts to Milton Street House to be delivered by Darleen.

And here are the quilts we completed.  As has become the norm, we have had some donated ones.  A big thank you to these generous people.

This one is the first of two quilts donated by Caring Hearts Quilters.

This one was made and given to us by the Trinity Grammar Quilting group:

And this one by Sue, one of our Friday Quilters friends:

See you next time!
