15th August

Quite a few of us turned up on the 15th and we had a lively meeting.

Bev dropped off quilts to the Palliative Care Unit at Concord Hospital. She was asked  if we could make “fiddle quilts” for the dementia unit. Lesley and Bev have worked wonders and produced a couple of prototypes.

These have flannel on the back, with ties on the sides, and have sliding items, textures, buckles, Velcro, buttons, zippers, tassels things to do.   Bev and Lesley are happy to make more if they are needed.
Coleen has taken some beanies to  the St Patricks night patrol, which were well received.

Jill took several children's quilts to Ronald McDonald House.

These are the completed quilts brought in this week:

If you remember, I mentioned in the last post that we had received a large donation of fabrics.  Amongst them were a pile of triangles.  Bev has put together a couple of quilts with these.

These bags have been made for Legacy Kids.  Lesley did the embroidery (also part of a donation) and Bev made the bags.

We had a donation from ladies of St Paul's at Kincumber, of half a dozen scarves and a couple of knee rugs.
