We received a lovely Thank You from the Hawkesbury Hospital Palliative Care Unit for the quilts we donated to them.
9 quilts were delivered to Meals on Wheels
A bundle of quilts were delivered to Concord Palliative Care Unit.
We received a really lovely quilt in the post donated to us by the ladies of Shepparton Quilters. It is absolutely gorgeous and will be used as a raffle quilt. Just take a look at the work in this!
All the panels have been embroidered
And each section has been beautifully custom quilted.
Several of the quilt tops from the Shepparton Quilters previous donation have been completed. This one was made by Lyn H.
And this one by Cheryl J.The rest were made by our members.I am not sure who the lucky recipient will be for this one, but my grandson would crawl over broken glass for it. Ha ha.
This cute little quilt had the bunny motif quilted in the borders.
The blocks for this quilt were donated many years ago and were sent to us from America. I suspect it may have been a block swap, because most of the blocks have the maker's name on them. Sadly I have not been able to find the original donor, or any of the ladies who made the blocks to credit them.
And this one was donated last year by Robyn O from the Southern Highlands as a bundle of partially completed blocks.
Aren't these dogs cute? I just love the one singing....
And these monsters 💖💖.....
One of our ladies has been busy making little t-shirts for kids and babies bootees. They, and the warm crocheted shawls and beanies, will definitely be useful, as we are having a cold snap right now.Lastly, for those of you who live in Sydney or nearby, you might be interested in the quilt show which is being organised by the Eastwood Quilters next month. Details are here.Til next time. Keep on stitching.
