We have had word that the quilts we donated to the Lismore area, which has been so badly affected by the floods earlier this year, will be transported to the region by Rotary this month.
If you have followed us for a while, you will know that we put loose change into a money box through the year, to be distributed at the end of the year. We have made a decision to empty it now and buy food vouchers for the flood victims.
Beanies were dropped off to
Mission Australia Homeless Women in North Strathfield. They are keen for receipt of quilts, so the larger quilts brought in today will be delivered there.
The smaller lap quilts and the knitted rugs, will be sent to Meals on
Wheels.
Remember that huge bundle of quilt tops we received from the lovely ladies at Shepparton? Several, made by Cheryl J have been completed by our members and brought in today.
