6 June

Still a couple of people away, but we were almost to full strength this week, with a lot going on.

We had a visitor - Annette Hicks came to talk to us about the work that the Nicole Foundation is doing, to collect a quilt for a fund raising ball to be held shortly, and to present the group with a plaque recognising our donation.

This is the quilt we donated:

We have had feedback from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School at North Strathfield.  The Mother's Day raffle they held, which included the quilt we donated, raised $984 which will be used towards resources for the school.

Jill and Darleen represented our group at the St Patrick's Mortlake Parish Dinner (we donated a quilt there too).

Dale from Drummoyne Rotary popped in briefly and chose this quilt donated to us by Daphne from Wodonga a couple of weeks back for their raffle.  (I told you about Daphne and her quilts here and here)

Here is the show and tell

Bev quilted 3 quilts, the first was made by Robin, the others were made by Jill:

Helen made a swag of beanies and scarves and 4 flannel wraps:

Jan made the next 3 quilts:

Love those owls!!

Next two are by Cheryl:

Maria brought in 3 quilts made by Robyn, a friend of hers, and quilted by another friend, Mary.  Big thank you to Robyn and Mary.

This one was made by Jill and quilted by Dasha...

And lastly, a Challenge Quilt made by the ladies of Friday Quilters, with some gorgeous quilting by Di.

Thanks for stopping by.
