May 15th

We had to cancel our meeting on 1st May because we got advice that the centre where we meet had a power outage.  So today's meeting saw two meetings worth of quilts.  So inspiring to see the floor covered!

Although the last meeting was cancelled, several ladies who live locally, met for a chat and a cup of coffee.  They just happened to have a bundle of quilts with them, so they chose a some quilts to be donated to Chiswick Manor Car Community - these first three are to be auctioned at their fund raiser to be held shortly:

And this lot is for the residents:

You might remember me mentioning that we had given a quilt to the Drummoyne Pre School for their fund raiser a while back.  Well we received a delightful certificate of appreciation:

And here are the quilts which came in......

There were also a large bundle of lovely warm woollens.  They will be useful since the weather has turned and it has been cold, windy and very wet in the last week or so.

Thanks for making it through to the end of this post.

Bye for now, and see you soon.

  1. Another wonderful parade of quilts and knitted goodies. So much inspiration this time. The second picture is very intriguing to me. It looks like she made a quilt then slashed it to add the skinny sashing. I don't understand the construction of that one and it makes even more wonderful. The hexie quilt is amazing. Are those designs on the black hexies hand-embroidered? Soooo cool. Love the tiny little cardigan with heart-shaped buttons. Adorable! Bravo to everyone. So much talent and time given to a good cause. Enjoy! ;^)
