Despite the fact that there were a lot of quilts brought in last week, not a lot of them had actually been completed, so next meeting there should be heaps.
We made a delivery to St Mary's Villa recently. They were one of the first recipients of quilts from us and are always so grateful when we make a delivery. They advised us that they had raffled 2 quilts we had given them previously.
We have also received 7 quilt tops from Shepparton Quilters. They all need to be quilted so you will see them come in over the next few weeks.
Barbara McC donated 4 lovely double sized quilts to us through Friday Quilters. These are to be delivered to We Care Connect next week along with some children's quilts we have in stock:
Raelene C, also a friend from Friday Quilters has donated several quilts. Here are the first two:
Are you wondering who the Friday Quilters and the Monday Sewing Group are? Well two of our members live on the NSW Central Coast, and belong to a social sewing group called Friday Quilters. That is also why Stitching Hearts sometimes donate to organisations on the Central Coast. The Monday Sewing Group is also a social group started by a couple of Stitching Hearts members and meets in Burwood each week. Both of these groups have donated many, many quilts to us, and have made our job of helping the disadvantaged members of our society heaps easier.
The next 3 quilts were donated to us by Jan C.
And this next one was donated by Elizabeth VDH. My apologies Elizabeth, if you are reading this, but I suspect that there were several quilts which were like this one displayed last meeting. They did not have a name tag on them, so I did not acknowledge you as the maker.
These woolens will keep someone cozy
Bye for now. Thanks for visiting.
