Goodbye to 2022

It's not really the end of the year yet, but the meeting last week is the last working one for us this year, and the last blog I will be doing for 2022.  Tomorrow will be a fun Christmas lunch, then a lovely long break until mid January.

Quilts were dropped off to Concord Hospital Palliative Care Unit.  These were a timely donation as they had nearly run out of supply. The quilts are also sometimes given to people in Intensive Care.

Delivery of 19 quilts, plus beanies and crocheted rugs was made to We Care Connect.  It is such a special cause, supporting children who live below the poverty line on the Central Coast and Hunter regions. Click on the link above to find out more.  They love receiving quilts, and feedback was that the quilts given are “often the nicest thing in the client's house”.

We had a lot of quilts come in this week.  As usual, several were donations from our supporters.

First off are two fabulous quilts made by Ann from Trinity Grammar Craft Group

Our friend Sue from Friday Quilters made this one.

And another regular donor is Robyn, who made this.

The rest were made by our members.

Just take a look at the cute backing fabric on the kids quilt above.  Cookies!

Two great "man" quilts.  We never have enough of them.

There's bound to be a dog lover out there who will just adore this quilt

Here is a close up of some of those cuties.

I love this one too - those crazy, quirky ladies!

And the back of it is pieced too...

Last but not least a fabulous array of knits and kids tee shirts.

That's it for today.  Thank you for supporting our group.

May you all have a happy, peaceful Christmas.   See you in January.
