We donated a quilt for
the Massey Park Golf Club (Ladies Committee) for a silent auction on their
fundraising day on Wednesday 29/8/18 to benefit Leichhardt
Women’s Health Centre
Evelyn asked if we could give a couple of
quilts to the Crookwell C.W.A. to be used as raffles to raise funds for the
Drought Relief. She has taken 2 quilts - I have shown you them before, but these are the two:
We always make a donation to charity in lieu of Christmas gifts amongst our members, so this year we have decided to make the donation now and make our chosen charity the Drought Relief program. Evelyn to co-ordinate that.
Since last meeting, Graham, a volunteer from Dandelion Support Network
picked up 18 children’s quilts, 13 baby wraps and 15 beanies on 7/8/18. No
thank you letter received as yet. The Dandelion Support Network accepts, sorts and safety checks children’s clothes and nursery items for families in need, through hospitals and support agencies. They operate from Caringbah a suburb of Sydney. To find out more about their work, click here.
Sadly, one of our newer members, Anne H announced that she is moving back to Brisbane so will no
longer be coming. Wishing you well in the future Anne.

The first one was a donation from Lynn H, from Shepparton in Victoria:
