Second Barnardos Delivery

Last Tuesday I gathered the last of the quilts we had promised to Barnardos and delivered them.  Jan was unable to come with me, so I drove up on my own.

I was greeted warmly by 2 of the case workers.  They were just so appreciative of the quilts, and admired each and every one of them.  It is really special to do a delivery to an appreciative recipient.  Really makes the whole effort worth while, and makes you want to do more.

As usual, I have fuzzed out the names for privacy reasons.

This single bed quilt was made for a little 7 year old girl.  The top was stitched by my 12 year old grand daughter during the school holidays, and it was quilted by Robin on her long arm machine.

The next two quilts were made by Jill.  They are cot sized and are for a pair of little newborn twin girls.  The quilts are similar but not identical, which is perfect for the twins.

Next up is a cot quilt made by Evelyn.  It is for a little newborn boy.

I love the teddy print.  It is so cute!

This one was made by Jan.  It is cot sized and is for a 9 month old girl.

It has Jan's trademark applique on it, like this little elephant.  Nice quilting too Jan.

And these sweet birds.

I made the last two.  This one is a cot quilt for a little newborn girl, made from a panel.

And this one is a single bed quilt for a 9 year old boy, pieced by me and quilted by Robin.  I tried to find a bunch of "boy" things to go on it - skate boards, bugs, UFOs & aliens, trail bikes, Transformers and Spider Man.

Hopefully these will be loved and cherished by the kids, and kept until they are adults.
