Second Meeting for August

A small group met today.  There were 6 members away for a variety of reasons, mostly holidays, but the clever ladies who were there still managed a lovely crop of quilts.

Here are the completed quilts which were brought in:

There is a small band of ladies headed by one of our members called the Monday Group. Each of these ladies have participated in making this pretty little Teddy Quilt which they have very generously donated to us.

4th August

Well I have been very slow getting this post up, but I do have an excuse.  I left my camera at the Centre after the last meeting and only managed to collect it yesterday.  Better late than never as they say.

Here are the goodies which were brought in:

Look at these cute houses!  Aren't they just fabulous?

This one is a donation from one of the lovely Shapparton ladies, Jan D.  The quilt is a Beatrix Potter story, so a bedtime story and a quilt in one.

The technique used for the next quilt is called Convergence.  It was made popular by the very talented quilt designer Ricky Timms.  It is so clever!  If you want to try it, click here for a link to his webpage.  (We have no affiliation with that site)

And a lovely crop of knits.  This week, there's also some sweet children's tee-shirts.  They will go down well with the organisations we support.

Til next time....
