Lockdown Stitching No. 3

Two deliveries have been organised in the past couple of weeks - one to Greenwich Hospital Palliative Care Unit, the other to Concord Palliative Care Unit.  The delivery of children's quilts to CWA Canberra has also been finalised (I told you about that last post).

Following delivery of the quilts to the Greenwich Palliative Care Hospital, Stitching Hearts were invited to join a zoom meeting of the HammondCare staff over various sites. The Stitching Hearts representative heard staff sharing how carers were coping with lockdown under very difficult conditions. It was quite humbling to hear the front line experiences of caring for the patients who are denied their family and friends visiting.

I believe these quilts went to Greenwich Hospital:

These I think went to Concord Palliative Care:

And these kids quilts have been stockpiled for a future delivery

That's it for now.  Keep safe and well.

  1. Wonderful work! Well done, ladies. I see that the dark grey/black with yellow is still in fashion. I love that colour combo. Take care. ;^)
