Lesley reported that she and Cheryl attended a morning tea event at a nursing home in Georges Hall organised by Legacy.
We had some lovely feedback on a quilt which went to Concord Palliative Care Unit after our last meeting. Remember this one?
A relative of the recipient saw our label on the back and sent a sweet message to let us know how much it is appreciated.
There were a few quilts donated to us which came in today. Firstly, our Friday Quilter friend Gillian gave us 4 completed quilts. She has been generous enough to donate several quilts previously. Thank you Gillian!
The next two quilts were donated ages ago as tops. They have now been quilted and bound. Sadly there is no record of where they came from.
This one came in a bundle of quilt tops from Susan and Shelley, from Pittsworth in Queensland a few months ago. Also now quilted and bound.
The colours in the borders of this next one were positively luminous and were a perfect match for the colours in the centre panel. The photo doesn't do it justice.
The next two were super cute - the feature fabric was a bunch of crazy monsters. I had a real giggle photographing them.
WOW! There's so many quilts this month. Awesome! I love the hexagon/spider web block/triangles quilt (4th picture). It is so beautiful. Hard to believe a person would give such a lovely. Love, love the little love birds. It really glows. Fabulous work everyone. Bravo! ;^)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful group to do such lovely quilts for others for comfort.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing array of quilts! Your group is o generous and I’m sure these quilts bring a great deal of comfort to their recipients. It was my family member who received the autumn toned quilt pictured above, and she was so grateful xxx
