A few of our members were away this time, but we still managed to have a laugh.
Here are the completed quilts which turned up to this meeting.
This one was a donation. It is a large quilt, and I took it home thinking I could split it in two and add some borders to make up two single sized quilts. But when I looked at it, I realised that you can't really split it without destroying the design. So I added some borders & Robin quilted it.
Robin chose a lovely swirly design for the quilting.
Jill made the next one and Robin quilted it.
No one seemed to know who made this one, but Cheryl quilted it and finished it off.
Love the cheerful yellows in this and the design reminds me of a Jacob's Ladder.
Jan made this one. She does beautiful applique, and this one is needle turned.
And a close up of one of the blocks.
This is another of Jan's.
And this little strippy number is by Cheryl.
Coleen was working on a Disappearing 9 Patch, and here she is laying out the blocks before cross cutting them.
Jackie and Darleen have been making weighted pillows for children who attend the Chalmers Road School in Strathfield for quite some time, and continued doing this, this time. The school provides educational programs for students aged four to eighteen years with moderate or severe intellectual disabilities. The weighted pillows are used to calm distressed children.
That's all for now.
