Since our last meeting we delivered a bundle of quilts to the Concord Palliative Care Unit. We also delivered a bundle to Greenwich Palliative Care Unit. We hadn't donated to that group for a while and they were delighted to receive some of our quilts. Money received from grants is used to pay for wadding, and we use an enormous amount of that. We also need to buy backing for the quilts sometimes too.
Between the last two meetings, we received a big thank you from Allowah at Dundas. They cater for children of all ages with severe disabilities, and we had delivered some quilts to them. So good to be able to do something for these kids!
We have also received a grant from the Canada Bay Club. We are very lucky to get this support from the local community. Without it we would not be able to do what we do.
There were a lot of quilts this time from our loyal supporters. The ladies from the Trinity Grammar Quilters have been busy. This group sent in the first 9 quilts:
