January News

Happy New Year Folks.

Our first meeting for 2022 has been postponed as the Senior Citizens Club where we meet has decided to remain closed until the end of the month.  Things are a bit skew whiff here at the moment with the pandemic creating havoc again.  But there's been some news, so this will be a short update on our activities.

At the end of last year, we had an absolutely enormous donation of fabrics from a personal stash.  You would be forgiven for thinking that a shop had closed.  8 of us gathered and spent 5 hours doing a basic sort of the donation.  Hard work, but lots of giggles!

You might remember that we generally make a cash donation to a charity of our choice at the end of each year.  This year's collection yielded $212, which was sent to the Little Wings charity.  Little Wings is a nonprofit organization providing sick children and their families, throughout regional NSW, with air and ground transport for the child's treatment. Click here for more information on this charity.

We have reinstated our lockdown processing, and have a central drop off point again.  That worked well last year.  I do hope that we don't have to do that for long though.

I dug deep in our archive and found these few photos from 2015:

That's all for now.  Take care and see you soon.
