Second May Meeting

Lesley and Bev took quilts and crocheted items to Domestic Violence NSW.
We talked about some new places we may be able to donate our quilts including Manning House Psychiatric Ward at Concord Hospital, Legacy and Kathleen York House as we haven’t given them any for a long time.  All of these to be followed up.
Cheryl suggested we give $10 each to donate to one of the Country Women’s Associations for the Drought Appeal.

Our Show & Tell starts with 2 quilts made by Anne.  The first was quilted by Maria

2nd May

Most of the discussion today was about the important question of where to meet next time.  The ladies have decided to have a social day out on the 31st, since there are 5 Thursdays in May.

However, we did talk about some business too.  Jill took 12 lap quilts to the Concord Palliative Care Unit.  And it was decided that Bev and Lesley would take some quilts to the Domestic Violence NSW.  These were sorted and bundled this afternoon.

Evelyn reported that the quilt we had given Concord Hospital for the Mother's Day Raffle has raised over $1,000 to date, and there's over a week to go until it's drawn.

Show and tell begins with Bev this week:

Next are two quilts made by Cheryl

Cheryl also quilted this one made by Jill from fabrics donated by Julie A.

Dasha made this one.

And also this one, which was quilted by Evelyn.

You can always tell when Helen hasn't been to a meeting or two.  Just look at this haul!  It will be appreciated with the colder weather coming on.

Helen also made 4 little flannel wraps.

Maria brought in a quilt made by her friend Robyn.  Robyn has made a lot of quilts for us; maybe one day she come and visit so we can meet her.  Thank you Robyn.
